CHARLES ELMORE TO BE HONORED AT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY FUNDRAISER
Family Promise of Roane County’s Executive Director, Charles Elmore, is set to be honored at an upcoming fundraiser event held by Clinch River Habitat for Humanity.
Family Promise is an agency that provides rental assistance to families in danger of becoming homeless as well as assisting families with finding housing and providing information on shelter programs.
Their Day Center staff and interns help families find housing and work on goals such as getting work, transportation, schooling, and childcare. It also offers families a mailing address as well as laundry facilities, computers, playrooms for children, and showers.
According to Charlotte Bowers Cunningham, Executive Director Clinch River Habitat for Humanity:
Charles Elmore has meant a lot to Clinch River Habitat for Humanity. He has served on committees, helped plan events, and most importantly, introduced me to many people in Roane County. I know that our organization’s work in Roane County would have had more hurdles had Charles not been a part of our outreach! We are building a home for Jimmy Anderson in Harriman and plan to start another home in Rockwood in the next few weeks. Charles has been kind enough to allow us to honor him as part of our fundraising efforts to build these homes in Roane County.
