The Crossville Fire Department has a new fire chief. Chris South, who previously served as deputy chief, was sworn in today for his new role. Chief South has numerous years experience with the Crossville Fire Department in all types of emergency situations. He will replace Mike Turner who served as chief for many years and will retire later this year. While waiting for his retirement date to go into effect, Turner will serve as acting assistant chief to mentor South. A new assistant fire chief will be named at a later time.
