CHRISTIAN COUNSELING CENTER OF CUMBERLAND COUNTY HOSTS FUNDRAISER

The Christian Counseling Center of Cumberland County will present its annual fund-raising event on Friday, March 1 at the historic Palace Theatre at 7 p.m. They’ll be sponsoring a presentation of the one-man stage show, Sergeant York: The Play. Tickets are available at the Palace Theatre box office. Reserved-seating tickets are $15.

Sergeant Alvin C. York was the most-decorated WWI soldier in the U.S. Army. He earned the Medal of Honor for killing 28 German soldiers and singlehandedly capturing 132 others in the battle of the Argonne forest in France. Sergeant York: The Play depicts the story of York’s life, while projecting the positive ideal that one person really can make a difference.

The Christian Counseling Center has served the community since 2002 with professional, compassionate counseling on an ability-to-pay basis. The Center offers assistance to all ages, with play therapy for children as young as three, treatment for post-traumatic stress to veterans and others who have experienced trauma or abuse, counseling for all forms of mental illness, and relational counseling for marriages in crisis.
