CHRISTOPHER HOWARD HONORED BY SCHOOL BOARD
Lead mechanic Christopher Howard was recently honored at the Cumberland County school board meeting last week on Thursday.
“Christopher Howard is not only our lead mechanic, but the heartbeat of our whole transportation department”, said transportation supervisor Kathleen Martin. “It is his advanced knowledge, work ethic, compassion, willingness to help, and ability to work well with others and his colleagues have chosen him as transportation employee of the year for four consecutive years”.
Howard comes from a family line of mechanics and started his career as a full-time mechanic with Cumberland County Schools over 23 years ago.
Martin continued by saying that Howard exemplifies every quality and character trait needed in a leadership role.
“He also does daily bus routes, helps with the routing system, installs camera systems, and is on call 24/7,” she said. “Christopher motivates his team of mechanics, bus drivers, and office staff to be the best they can be every day.”
