CITY OF CROSSVILLE RAISES CEREMONIAL BEAM FOR CROSSVILLE YMCA FACILITY
On January 15, 2026, the City of Crossville marked a significant milestone in the development of the Crossville Family YMCA by hosting a celebratory ceremony for the raising of a ceremonial beam, often referred to as a topping-out event in construction projects.
This symbolic moment involved hoisting a final or representative steel beam into place atop the structure, signifying that the building has reached its full height and the structural framework is largely complete.
The over 60,000-square-foot facility, a collaborative effort between the City of Crossville, the Sports Authority of the City of Crossville, and the Putnam County Family YMCA, broke ground in late 2024 (with construction officially starting in early 2025).
