The Harriman City Council adopted a resolution this week to spend an estimated $750,000 for the new lighting project at the Harriman/Rockwood 347 exit on I-40. The state would pitch in some of the cost to replace the lights there and add several more along the north and south lanes of Hwy 27 at the exit. If all goes as planned the work to replace the lights at the interchange with new cost saving L.E.D. lights could begin within the next few weeks.
