CITY OF ROCKWOOD FACILITIES EITHER TEMPORARILY CLOSED OR ADJUSTING IN COVID-19 OUTBREAK

These changes are in effect as of November 16, 2020:
ROCKWOOD CITY HALL CLOSED
City staff (clerks/finance, recorder/administrator, building inspector) will be present to conduct day to day business by phone, through the night drop or by email. If customers need services or have issues that must be dealt with in person, please call (865) 354-0611 and you will be assisted. Staff may meet customers in parking lot if necessary.
Property taxes, citations and other types of payments can be made online or may be placed in the night drop. Clerks can assist customers with payments over the phone.
The building inspector may be contacted by phone at (865) 354-0611 ext. 819, cell at (865) 340-5003 or may be emailed at [email protected].
“IN PERSON” ROCKWOOD CITY COURT CALLED OFF UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Appearing in person for Rockwood Municipal Court is called off until further notice.
If a person has received a citation for violations concerning insurance, light law, registration, driver license, documentation may be provided to the court clerk prior to the court date. Any documentation may be emailed to [email protected].
Phone hearings with the judge on moving violations are being offered. If this option works for you, please call (865) 354-0611 to set up a time.
ROCKWOOD POLICE & FIRE OFFICES CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC
Calls will be taken during regular business hours. Obtaining a report or scheduling to see an officer can be arranged by calling (865) 354-3388 during regular business hours. In case of an emergency, please dial 911.
ROCKWOOD LIBRARY OPEN WITH RESTRICTIONS
Because of online school needs and the needs of the public who may not have internet access, the library will remain open to the public with restrictions. The hours will remain 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Social distancing will be required. Computer use will be limited, and users are required to wear masks. Masks will be available to users who do not have them. Users must wash or sanitize hands upon entry to the library. Computers and books will be sanitized after each use.
ROCKWOOD GARAGE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC
Vendors and persons with other needs from the Public Works Department may call the office at 354-0184 to set up arrangements.
ROCKWOOD PARKS & RECREATION
The Rockwood Community Center is closed until further notice. Basketball sign-ups will continue. However, the season will most likely be delayed, with practices not starting until January and games in February. Being able to continue basketball will be dependent upon the COVID situation after the holidays.
The complex is open for walking. The Rockwood Forest Trails is open. The tennis courts and ball courts are open but subject to change. Tom Fuller Park is open for fishing and boating and social distancing is encouraged. Brickyard Springs is open.
Rockwood Golf Course – Numbers of persons per cart may be limited. Carts are sanitized before and after each use and social distancing is enforced.

ROCKWOOD GARBAGE COLLECTION (WASTE CONNECTIONS)
Existing garbage pick-up rules are being strictly enforced because of the coronavirus outbreak and will be strictly followed in the future. All garbage must be in bags. Garbage inside cans should also be in bags and tied up. No loose garbage will be picked up.
