Pizza Hut is reviving its retro dining experience at select locations, including two in East Tennessee.

On May 20, Yum! Brands announced that participating restaurants would be re-outfitted with classic elements such as red cups, checkered tablecloths, vinyl booths, Tiffany-style lamps, and arcade games to recreate the nostalgic atmosphere fans remember. The initiative, aimed at encouraging dine-in visits over delivery or takeout orders, is currently active at Tennessee’s only two locations: Oneida (19945 N. Alberta Ave.) and Sweetwater (788 Highway 68).

Yum! Brands cited growing customer interest in nostalgic food and experiences as the driving factor, noting in its announcement that “what’s old is new again.” This trend aligns with broader cultural shifts highlighted in Collider Lab’s 2026 Food Trends Report, where consumers seek comfort, emotional grounding, and a sense of control through everyday sensory experiences. Additional Pizza Hut locations are expected to adopt the retro concept in the coming months.
