CLEVELAND POLICE SAY HUMAN REMAINS ARE THAT OF ROBBERY SUSPECT

Cleveland Police report that the human remains found by a dog earlier this year have been identified as that of a robbery suspect. The animal carried a human skull into a garage back in March 2017. Afterward, more of the remains were discovered in the area and believed to be that of a man who had been missing for around a year. On June 30, 2016, a man robbed the Central Pharmacy on Peerless Rd. The suspect was later identified by family members as Joshua Arp. Later that day, Arp was reported missing. The remains were sent to the University of Tennessee’s Forensic Center for analysis and on May 16, the remains were confirmed to be those of Joshua Arp. CPD says there were no signs of foul play or trauma. The cause of death has been determined to be an overdose from morphine pills.
