CLEVELAND WOMAN FACES V. HOMICIDE CHARGES AFTER FATAL I-75 CRASH

A 22-year-old Cleveland woman, Emily Shaver, faces charges of vehicular homicide, DUI, reckless endangerment, simple possession, and child restraint violation after a fatal crash on I-75 in Bradley County. A tire blowout caused her vehicle to collide head-on with another, leading to a second collision.
Shaver was ejected, her son was found dead in the vehicle, and her 8-month-old daughter, critically injured, later died in the hospital. Cannabis (24.7% THC) was found in the vehicle, and Shaver admitted to smoking marijuana before the crash. The deceased child was not properly restrained in a car seat.
