COMPLAINTS OF ILLEGAL DRUG SALES AT HOME IN CRAB ORCHARD LEADS TO WARRANTS TAKEN OUT AGAINST SHERRILL

Cumberland County deputies went to a home on Market Street in Crab Orchard yesterday after receiving complaints regarding illegal drugs being sold. Officers encountered 49-year-old Edward Junior Sherrill who gave them consent to search the dwelling. The report says two electronic weighing scales, multiple syringes, and numerous small bags containing what was believed to be meth. Sherrill allegedly pulled a bag from his crotch area containing three small bags of meth as well as $1,312 believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales. The report states Sherrill was not initially arrested because of health issues but deputies later took out warrants for his arrest for possession of a Schedule II drug for resale.
