A convicted sex offender appeared in Cumberland County General Sessions Court yesterday. Court officials say 62-year-old Gary A. Miller was charged with violation of the sex offender registration form. In court yesterday, Judge Larry Warner accepted a plea deal to a lesser charge of attempted violation of the sex offender registry and gave Miller 11 months 29 days supervised probation. According to the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, Miller is labeled as violent with convictions in 1994 in Indiana for child molesting and in 2011 for sexual exploitation of a minor.
