Cookeville Pizza and Pub had a follow-up inspection yesterday (9/27/24) with a new score of 94.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Cookeville Pizza and Pub located at 707 Mahler Ave in Cookeville received a failing Health Inspection score of 69 on Wednesday last week.

Health code violations include: The Person in charge not showing managerial control and management being unaware of employee illnesses and symptoms; the dish machine not sanitizing after three different checks; empty sanitizer bucket; pizzas held in a hot box below 135 degrees; chemicals being stored above paper products in a room behind cash register; personal drinks stored on a prep table where food is being prepared; wet nesting of plastic containers on a shelf in kitchen; a can opener blade accumulating debris, cutting boards pitted and grooved; food debris accumulating on a can rack; and a hand sink leaking in the kitchen.

A score below 70 requires a follow-up inspection.
