Cookeville police officers responded to Skyline Drive yesterday regarding a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash. On arrival, law enforcement found 55-year-old Rodney Morgan, of Cookeville, deceased inside his vehicle.

Officers say Morgan suffered injuries consistent with an apparent gunshot wound.

The Cookeville Police Department did not release any further information on the case.
