On Tuesday, Deputy Ronald Fields was dispatched to the Dollar General on Highway 127 South for a possible counterfeit bill passed.

Upon arrival, he met with the store manager who said an unknown male had come into the store the day before at approximately 12:55 p.m., walked straight to the gift card area in front of the cash registers, and picked up a Visa Vanilla gift card, brought it to check out, and purchased it using a counterfeit $100 bill.

The male then immediately left the store.
