COUPLE CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE ROBBERIES IN KNOXVILLE AND KNOX COUNTY
Two people have been charged with multiple robberies in Knoxville and Knox County. Andre Dewayne Coffer and Lacy Nicole Emory were charged in the robbery of a Weigels on Merchants Rd. July 10, according to Knoxville Police. Witnesses told police that a blue minivan dropped off a male with his face covered who then went into the store, produced a knife and stole money and cigarettes. Officers say they found Emory, who was the driver of the minivan, before the suspect got back to the vehicle after the robbery. They say Coffer was found with the stolen money and cigarettes during a traffic stop shortly after the crime. Charges against the couple are also pending in four other incidents in the county.
