A Roane County couple already accused of murder in a child abuse case has now been indicted by a Knox County grand jury. Michael Gray Sr. and Shirley Gray of Ten Mile remain in custody after the remains of two of their non-biological children were found on their properties. The couple’s adult son, Michael Gray Jr. was arrested last week for first-degree murder. Michael Sr. and Shirley Gray also allegedly collected thousands of dollars in payments from the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services. Michael Gray Jr. and Shirley Gray will be arraigned today (November 5, 2020) in Knox County Criminal Court.  Michael Sr. will make his first court appearance tomorrow.
