A truly remarkable young man in Roane County lost his courageous fight with cancer early this morning.

Preston “P Man” Wells was 12 years old.

Preston was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer in 2019 and refused to let it bring him down.

He quickly became an inspiration to other children battling cancer.

Preston took on special projects to inspire others, including writing Christmas cards to 200 inmates in the Roane County jail.

Preston recently got to meet his celebrity favorite, Jelly Roll, who paid him a visit after learning Preston was a big fan.
