COVID-19 REPORT FOR AUGUST 18, 2021

Statistics release from the Tennessee Department of Health on Wednesday reveal that for the first time in several weeks, active cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee dropped by 288 to 62,456. The state has now surpassed 13,000 deaths from COVID-19, with a total of 13,018. Tennessee State officials reported 32 new deaths. ICU bed availability dropped on Tuesday. Only eight percent of ICU beds are open across the state, Pediatric ICU beds are now 81 percent full, up from 76 percent on Tuesday. 2,450 vacinations were given on Tuesday, bringing the statewide Total of vaccinations to 3,225,525.

471 Active Cases          +32 New Cases Reported

Fentress County:

72 Active Cases          +3 New Cases Reported Today

2,670 Total Cases, 50 Deaths and 70 Hospitalized Since the beginning of reports   A Total of 2,548 Cases now reported as Inactive or Recovered

Loudon County:

291 Active Cases          +25 New Cases Reported Today

6,765 Total Cases, 73 Deaths and 156 Hospitalized Since the beginning of reports   A Total of 6,401 Cases now reported as Inactive or Recovered

Pickett County:

35  Active Cases          +8 New Cases Reported Today

823 Total Cases, 24 Deaths and 29 Hospitalized Since the beginning of reports   A Total of 764 Cases now reported as Inactive or Recovered

Putnam County:

427Active Cases          +38 New Cases Reported Today

12,601 Total Cases, 184 Deaths and 225 Hospitalized Since the beginning of reports   A Total of 11,990 Cases now reported as Inactive or Recovered

Rhea County:

334 Active Cases          +49 New Cases Reported Today

4,891 Total Cases, 83 Deaths and 97 Hospitalized Since the beginning of reports   A Total of 4,474 Cases now reported as Inactive or Recovered

Roane County:

468 Active Cases          +31 New Cases Reported Today

7,164 Total Cases, 115 Deaths and 169 Hospitalized Since the beginning of reports   A Total of 6,581 Cases now reported as Inactive or Recovered
