CRASH ON I-40 WESTBOUND
UPDATE:
The congestion on Westbound I-40 seems to have cleared up and the notification for the crash incident is gone.
ORIGINAL STORY:
The TDOT Smart Ways map and CAD alerts mention a tractor-trailer crash on Westbound Interstate 40 near mile marker 309. The incident occurred around 7:14 a.m., blocking the left westbound lane and shoulder.
The Smart Ways map notification reads:
“Interstate 40 Westbound in Cumberland – Single Vehicle Crash at MILE MARKER 309 reported at 7:14 AM 10/25/2024 (Central Time Zone). Westbound Left Lane (of 2 Lanes) Blocked, Left Shoulder Blocked. THP Reported.
