CROSSVILLE AUTHORITIES RESPOND TO A CALL FROM A MALE STATING HIS WIFE CUT HIM
Around 4 PM on Friday, officers were dispatched to a residence off E First Street for a male who had been cut with a knife by his wife. Upon arrival, a female identified as Kimberly Walker came running out the front door screaming. According to officers, Ms. Walker stated that an unknown female had just run around to the back of the house. The injured male, identified as Thomas Medley, came walking outside the residence with a large laceration on his left arm. Mr. Medley claimed it was actually Ms. Walker that cut him.
EMS was staged across the street waiting for police to arrive to make sure the scene was safe. EMS officials stated they saw Ms. Walker trying to leave the residence and backing her vehicle out of the driveway, but must have seen the blue lights from police officers and pulled back into the driveway and ran back inside.
Mr. Medley stated to police that he was drinking his coffee when Ms. Walker grabbed a kitchen knife and held it to his throat. As she pulled the knife away from his throat, she cut his left forearm. She then threw the knife into the sink. Mr. Medley also told police that she threatened him and said she “should have cut his head off”.
Ms. Walker stated she did not attack Mr. Medley. She claimed she got in the car because she was in a panic. Kimberly Walker was placed into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center. EMS placed a bandage on Mr. Medley, as he signed a refusal to go to the hospital.
