CROSSVILLE BITCOIN MINING FACILITY SPARKS NOISE AND HEAT COMPLAINTS FROM NEIGHBORS
A local Bitcoin mining data center in Crossville, located across the road from Kroger and Best Friends Animal Hospital, is drawing frustration from neighboring workers due to constant noise and intense heat emissions.
Despite its relatively small physical footprint, the facility generates a substantial amount of noise. Employees at Crossville Metal Fabricators located directly next door report having to work alongside the disruptive sound every day. In addition to the noise, the neighbor’s manager noted that the data center radiates a significant amount of heat, which becomes especially brutal during the summer months.
In response to the growing complaints, Crossville Mayor RJ Crawford stated that city officials have visited the site to investigate the issue. However, because the data center’s sound output currently falls below the city’s maximum noise decibel limits, local authorities have not taken any action.
While the facility maintains it is operating in coordination with the city, frustrated neighbors are left enduring the daily roar and heat of the crypto-mining operation.
