CROSSVILLE CELEBRATE RECOVERY LAUNCHES SHOE DRIVE TO FUND ANNUAL UNITY DAY EVENT
Crossville Celebrate Recovery has kicked off a unique shoe drive fundraiser to support its upcoming Annual Unity Day in the Community, turning closet clutter into local support and global economic opportunity.
Local residents can drop off gently worn, used, or new shoes at a special collection event:
-
Location: Staples Parking Lot
-
Date & Time: Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
-
Extended Donations: Collection boxes are available, and donations will be accepted through July 24, 2026.
The fundraiser operates in partnership with Funds2Orgs, which issues a check to Celebrate Recovery based on the total weight of the shoes collected.
Once gathered, the donated footwear is redistributed through Funds2Orgs’ network of micro-entrepreneurs in developing nations. These small business owners resell the shoes to generate sustainable income for food, housing, and education for their families.
“By doing so, we raise money for the local non-profit Celebrate Recovery,” representatives shared. “We have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities as well as keeping shoes out of the landfills. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
The proceeds directly fund the Annual Unity Day in the Community, scheduled for October 31, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Redemption Church (75 Commercial Dr, Crossville, TN). The event aims to bring a wide array of community resources together under one roof. Local vendors and organizations interested in setting up a resource table are encouraged to participate.
Celebrate Recovery meets weekly on Friday nights at 6:00 PM at Redemption Church to support individuals seeking healing from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Community members are invited to support the drive by donating shoes, hosting a collection box, or sharing event flyers.
