CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES CONTRACT FOR HIGHWAY 127 WIDENING PROJECT

The Crossville City Council last night approved $1.4 million in contracts with the Tennessee Department of Transportation for the Highway 127 widening project. The contracts will start the process of water and sewer easement acquisitions and relocations from I-40 north to Potato Farm Road. The city currently has nearly $2.5 million in its utility system account with another $440,000 loan payment due on other projects. Crossville Mayor James Mayberry said he is explored some financing possibilities through the Tennessee Municipal Bond fund.
