CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES SEVERAL ITEMS AT MARCH MONTHLY MEETING

The Crossville City Council approved several agenda items at their March meeting Tuesday night. The group first okayed renewing the city’s contract with Veolia Water North America- South LLC for water treatment. In the same vein, the council approved engineering services for a raw water capacity masterplan, prioritizing of the Meadow Park sewer line extension and water transmission line to SRF, and approved a final change order for Holiday and Meadow Park Water Treatment Plant improvements. Because the original city flag is becoming tattered, and because the manufacturer has gone out of business, the council approved an action to hold a competition among county students to design a new flag. The winner of the contest will receive a $200 prize, with second place and third place prizes set at $100 and $50. Finally, the council approved an Interim Fixed Based Operator’s Agreement with Eric Ramsey to manage the Crossville Airport. The contract was approved for a six-month trial and may be adjusted.
