CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL CANCELS TONIGHT’S WORK SESSION; AGENDA MOVED TO NEXT WEEK
The City of Crossville has announced that the City Council’s monthly work session scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, has been canceled.
According to city officials, all items originally on tonight’s agenda will instead be discussed and voted upon during the regular Council meeting next week on Tuesday, July 14.
The cancellation delays discussions on several key city projects and ordinances. When the Council—including Mayor R.J. Crawford and Council Members Art Gernt, Mike Turner, and Dr. Mark A. Fox, reconvenes next week, they are expected to address an 11-item agenda.
Key topics slated for discussion and potential action include:
-
Data Center Regulations: An ordinance to add a new chapter (Title 14 Chapter 12) regarding Data Centers.
-
Budget Adjustments: An ordinance amending the FY25-26 budget for end-of-year adjustments.
-
Infrastructure & Renovations: Updates on the status of the Fire Station #1 renovation and a change order for the Greenway project.
-
Community & Events: Requests for a temporary street closure for the Crossville Cruisers, a resolution for a new Welcome Sign, and discussions regarding parking on East Street.
-
City Services: The approval of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for an Urban Forester and a Granicus Services Agreement.
Residents looking to provide public comment or follow these developments will need to attend the rescheduled meeting on July 14.
