CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL HOLDS WORK SESSION

The Crossville City Council met for their monthly work session Tuesday afternoon. Members watched a presentation from Andrew Ingram of Hurricane Cycles on mountain-bike trails. Ingram is working on a set of such trails near Pigeon Ridge Road and has proposed a set of trails at Meadow Park Lake. The council had a short discussion involving a proposal from farm-implement retailer Rural King and their plans involving the former Kmart building. City Mayor James Mayberry stated in all, 16 other businesses are competing for the building. Discussions were also held on annexations and plans of services for areas on Tulip Drive, Wilson Lane and Valley Lane. The council also looked at a budget amendment for engineering services for the Northwest Connector Phase 2 acquisition.
