CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL HOLDS WORK SESSION & SPECIAL-CALLED MEETING

Members of the Crossville City Council got together for a special-called meeting Tuesday evening after an hour-long work session. Only three council members were present for the proceedings but that was enough to make up a quorum. Council Members JH Graham and Mayor James Mayberry were absent. Mayor Mayberry was absent from the meeting due to the death of his mother. Mayor-Pro Tem Art Gernt conducted both the work session and the meeting. Two ordinances were on the consent agenda and were passed on second and third readings. Other agenda items at the meeting concerned a year-end amendment to the 2019-20 budget, and discussions on the Brookhaven and Highland Lane water line. City Engineer Tim Bagley stated to those attending that the council would have to reject all of the bids made for the project due to several issues. The council agreed to that and also passed their approval to modify the plans for re-bidding the project.
