CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEMBER MARK FOX CONSIDERS FIRST RESPONDER AMENDMENT
Crossville City Council Member Mark Fox proposed pursuing an amendment to Tennessee state law that would enable the city to operate its own independent first responder program, free from Cumberland County oversight during Tuesday’s City Council work session.
He argued that this change would enhance patient care and enable the city to implement its own training standards. However, several other council members questioned whether the change was necessary and voiced concerns that it might revive longstanding tensions between the city and the county.
After discussion, the council decided to direct the city attorney to draft a formal resolution on the matter, with a potential vote scheduled for the following week.
