CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL QUARTERLY WORK SESSION SCHEDULED FOR FEB. 17TH

The City of Crossville, Tennessee, has scheduled a quarterly work session on February 17, 2026, in Conference Room 317 at 392 North Main Street, starting at 8 A.M. The meeting, attended by Mayor R.J. Crawford, council members Art Gernt, Mike Turner, Mark A. Fox, and James Mayberry, along with City Manager Valerie Hale and City Clerk Baylee Rhea, will begin with a call to order, roll call, and an opportunity for public comment.

The agenda features several key presentations and discussions. It opens with a presentation on a wage rate study, followed by a focused discussion on wage rates specifically for the Police and Fire Departments. Next, there will be a presentation examining the impact of tourism on the community. A short break is planned from 10:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The session resumes with an update on Fire Station 1 and the speculative (“spec”) industrial building project on Interchange Drive. This will lead to a broader discussion of the upcoming FY 26-27 budget.

Lunch is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Afternoon items include a discussion on the Dunbar Road sewer study and necessary upgrades to the sewer plant, followed by a presentation on the Interstate Drive/Traffic Corridor Study. After a brief break from 1:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., the council will address the timeline and associated costs for the Meadow Park Lake dam project, then discuss the format for evaluating the City Manager.

Additional topics cover an update on open cases within the Codes Department, general updates from the City Manager and any other business, and a site visit to Fire Station #2. The meeting will conclude with adjournment.
