CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL SET TO MEET TOMORROW; AGENDA INCLUDES TAX RATE
The City of Crossville, Tennessee, will hold its City Council meeting on May 12, 2026, beginning with a Beer Board session at 5:45 p.m. to consider four beer permit applications: Vapors Choice, Forte’s Restaurant, Downtown Crossville, Inc., and Route 70 Market. This will be followed by a Public Hearing at 5:50 p.m. on the Capital Improvement Plan.
The Regular Meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. with the Call to Order and Roll Call, followed by Proclamations/Presentations, Public Comment, and several board appointments including the Health and Educational Facilities Board, Crossville Housing Authority Board, and Building Codes Board of Appeals. Additional agenda items include a Chamber of Commerce Report and a comprehensive Consent Agenda covering approval of prior meeting minutes, the FY26/27 TCRS rate, adoption of the Capital Improvement Plan, multiple temporary street closures for community events (4th of July Parade, Downtown Birthday Bash, and 5K), contracts with Carnes Recreation and Young Marines, an Airport Equipment Grant application, various change orders and engineering contract amendments for city projects (spec building, traffic signals, Fire Station 2, and Genesis Generator Pump Station), and budget amendments.
Ordinances on the agenda include third reading approval for a street sweeper budget amendment, second reading for another FY 25-26 budget amendment, and first readings for updates to public officer definitions, and the municipal administrative hearing officer. Other business includes discussion and action on bids for Fire Station #1. The meeting will conclude with reports from the City Attorney and City Manager before adjournment.
