The Crossville City Council is set to reconvene for its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, following the cancellation of last week’s work session due to the unexpected passing of former Mayor and Council Member James Mayberry.

The meeting will take place at the Council Chambers located at 392 North Main Street. A public hearing reviewing the 26-0304 Plan of Service is scheduled for 5:50 p.m., immediately followed by the regular meeting at 6:00 p.m.

Led by Mayor R.J. Crawford, Mayor Pro-tem Art Gernt, Council Members Mike Turner and Mark A. Fox, along with City Manager Valerie Hale, the council will address an expanded agenda to catch up on business deferred from the canceled work session.

Key Agenda Items

• Ordinances & Budget: First reading of an ordinance establishing regulations for Data Centers (Title 14 Chapter 12), as well as an ordinance amending the FY25–26 budget for end-of-year adjustments.

• Infrastructure & Public Works: Discussions and updates regarding the status of the Fire Station #1 renovation, a change order for the local Greenway project, a close-out change order for the I-40 8-inch force main crossings, and a letter of credit extension for Halstead Drive.

• Community & Development: Consideration of a property de-annexation (TMP 101 021.03), approval for a new Welcome Sign resolution, parking adjustments on East Street, and a temporary street closure request for the Crossville Cruisers.

• City Operations & Appointments: Board appointments for the local Tree Board, approval of an RFP for an Urban Forester, a agreement for Granicus Services, and the presentation of June proclamations.

Public Participation: Members of the public are invited to attend the 5:50 p.m. public hearing and offer comments during the designated public comment portion of the regular 6:00 p.m. meeting.
