CROSSVILLE COUPLE ARRESTED AFTER 2-YEAR-OLD FOUND PLAYING IN STREET
Two are facing charges in Crossville after their two-year-old was found by police playing in a street. A police officer noticed a little boy in the middle of the road near Burnett and Main Street around 9 a.m. Monday. While trying to find out his identity, a manager at Village Inn came to the officer to tell him the child belonged to two individuals staying there. Police contacted the parents, 39-year-old Jennifer Lynn DeYoung and 48-year-old Dylan Sunderland Kelly of Crossville. Both stated they fell asleep and were unaware the child left. They also reportedly said it was not the first time it happened. Police also learned that the pair was supposed to be watching two other children in a room next door. Once contacted, their father told officers he was unaware that DeYoung and Kelley was not watching them for the majority of the time he was at work. Both Kelly and DeYoung were charged with child abuse.
