The Crossville Family YMCA facility is progressing steadily toward its anticipated grand opening in March 2027.

Construction has advanced to the point where the exterior is expected to be largely complete by the end of May, after which crews will shift their primary focus to finishing the interior spaces.

Designed as a welcoming, all-ages destination with a strong family emphasis, the YMCA will provide a vibrant hub for recreation, wellness, and community connection.

Mandy Perhay of Putnam County YMCA expressed enthusiasm about the project’s impact, particularly through new programming such as a summer day camp offered in partnership with St. Alphonsus Church and the Trauma Informed Community Alliance.

This camp will give out-of-school children a safe, engaging place to spend their summer days, featuring activities like arts and crafts alongside various fitness opportunities to promote creativity, physical health, and emotional well-being.
