A Crossville man charged with the first degree murder of his wife made his initial appearance in general sessions court today. The judge set the bond for 33-year-old Rony Noe Ambrocio Cruz at $250,000. He was being held without bond. Cruz was arrested yesterday after his wife, Sante Ceciliar Mendez, was found deceased in a wooded area off of Village Lane. A motive for the murder has not been released by authorities.
