CROSSVILLE MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY PULLING LOADED GUN DURING ARGUMENT

According to a report by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, on November 23, 2025, Deputy Tashua Stone responded to a domestic disturbance at Plateau Road in Crossville, where the resident reported that William Charles Dimler Jr. had pulled a gun on him. The resident told Deputy Stone that he had confronted Dimler about repeatedly beating the family dog, which led to a heated argument.

According to the resident, Dimler went inside the home, returned with a loaded Ruger .40-caliber pistol, pointed it at him, and said, “go ahead, threaten me now,” before fleeing when police were called.

Deputy Stone later located William Charles Dimler Jr. at Claysville Baptist Church. Dimler admitted he retrieved the firearm because the resident had threatened him with a hammer and that he brandished the loaded pistol during the confrontation. A church employee confirmed Dimler asked him to hide the gun, and Deputy Stone recovered the loaded Ruger (containing 10 rounds) from a janitor’s closet cabinet.

William Charles Dimler Jr. was placed under arrest by Deputy Tashua Stone for aggravated assault, transported to jail, and held on a $10,000 bond with a General Sessions court date of December 1, 2025.
