CROSSVILLE MAN ARRESTED AFTER HIGH-SPEED CHASE ON MOTORCYCLE

A Crossville man is facing charges following a high-speed chase yesterday. Police observed a blue motorcycle operated by 39-year-old Jason Forrest Hudgens traveling on East First Street. The officer reportedly knew Hudgens was operating the motorcycle on a suspended license. Police attempted to stop him on Main Street, where the chase started. Hudgens led officers onto Livingston Road and through the city, reportedly running several stop signs and traffic lights. The chase continued into the county on Highway 127 South, Deep Draw Road, and Highland Lane. Officers say Hudgens crashed the motorcycle on Highway 70 East near Crab Orchard Elementary School, then got into a vehicle driven by a female he knew. Officers stopped the vehicle a short time later. The report states the female was unaware of the chase and knew only that Hudgens was in an accident. Hudgens was charged with reckless driving and evading arrest.
