CROSSVILLE MAN ARRESTED FOR METHAMPHETAMINE POSSESSION WHILE SERVING PROBATION WARRANT

On April 7, 2026, at approximately 9:29 PM, Deputy Aidyn Smith of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Perry Creek Drive in Crossville to serve a violation of probation warrant on 45-year-old Adam Brian Smith. Upon arrival, the deputy took Smith into custody. During a search of Smith’s person incident to the arrest, Deputy Smith found a small metal cylindrical container in Smith’s left pants pocket containing approximately 0.48 grams of a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. When questioned under Miranda, Smith admitted that the substance was methamphetamine.

Smith was arrested on-view and charged with possession of methamphetamine in addition to the existing violation of probation charge. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 9, 2026, with a $4,000 bond set on the methamphetamine charge.

The seized substance was placed into evidence and will be sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation lab for analysis.

The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct, not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
