CROSSVILLE MAN FACES ARSON, EVADING ARREST, AND MORE CHARGES

The Crossville Chronicle reports that Brandon Chance Jones, a 27-year-old Crossville man, faces multiple charges in both state and federal courts. Initially arrested for allegedly setting fire to Bootlegger’s Bar on Hwy. 70 East, Jones has been indicted by the Cumberland County grand jury for felony theft of a 1985 White 2-155 dual wheel cab tractor, valued between $10,000 and $60,000.

In addition to the arson charge, he faces state charges including felon in possession of a rifle, felony evading arrest with a vehicle, evading arrest, leaving the scene of a property damage crash, and driving on a revoked license. Federally, Jones has been indicted in Nashville for destruction of a building by fire. His state charges have been postponed to October 7 for arraignment, pending the outcome of his federal case.
