A single vehicle accident in eastern Cumberland County just before midnight Friday evening killed one. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 1999 Chevrolet 1500 driven by 22-year-old Alex Hamilton of Crossville was northbound on Cox Valley Road when the vehicle ran off the road. The Chevy hit a tree stump and a power pole and came to rest on the driver’s side. Hamilton passed away from injuries sustained. The accident report indicated Hamilton was not restrained at the time of impact.
