The complainant, a wholesaler who buys and resells truck and construction equipment, reported a fraudulent transaction with ICT Equipment LLC, located at 609 Winston Rd, Jonesville, NC. He connected with a salesman and manager from the company to purchase a 2004 Caterpillar 420D backhoe for $24,500, paying via Bank of America to the provided account.

After payment confirmation, the company agreed to hold the backhoe for up to a month. The complainant planned to pick it up on April 14, 2025, and received a confirmation call that morning. Upon arriving at the address, he found it was Mathis Concrete, with no knowledge of ICT Equipment LLC. The LLC’s website was down, and the contact numbers were disconnected. He then notified his bank of the situation.
