Crossville police responded to the emergency room at Cumberland Medical Center late yesterday afternoon to take an assault report. A male in his late 20’s told officers he arrived at an apartment on Webb Avenue and two subjects unknown to him came up from behind and attacked him. The suspects then ran off towards Village Inn a minute after the incident started. Both were described as Caucasian males. One was wearing a dark colored Ficosa shirt, light blue ball shorts and brownish hair and the other had dark colored hair, an orange t-shirt and grey ball shorts. The victim states he did not know why they attacked him. The incident is under investigation.
