CROSSVILLE MAN REPORTS VEHICLE THEFT TO DEPUTIES

According to a report by Deputy Joshua Matthews, On March 24, 2025, a Crossville man reported a theft from his 1999 Isuzu Rodeo. He claimed that he had a court order allowing him to retrieve belongings from a property on John Warner Herb Circle in Cumberland County, TN.
During a previous attempt to collect his items, he was chased away by individuals wielding firearms and knives, though he did not report this to the Sheriff’s Office at the time.
The man later noticed his vehicle was unlocked with flat tires (not slashed) and discovered two missing items: a Kenwood radio (valued at $600) and a Motorola radio used for rescue squad work (valued at $1,500). He did name a potential suspect, but without charges, that person will go unnamed.
In his report, Deputy Matthews said “It is important to note that it was extremely difficult to obtain detailed information during the call. He seemed uncertain and appeared to have difficulty recalling specific details about the incident.”
No charges have been placed and no arrests have been made as of yet.
