CROSSVILLE MAN STEALS MULTIPLE SECURITY CAMERAS TO HIDE AFFAIR

On August 2, 2025, Officer Haylee Osmun responded to a theft report on Ved Street, where she met with a developer building a subdivision. The developer reported that over the past two months, individuals had been entering houses, stealing items, and living in crawl spaces. He noted that three cameras, valued at $400 total, were stolen from utility poles between 12:30 AM and 5:30 AM that morning.

The developer provided video footage showing a car and a male with a distinctive black band tattoo on his right bicep. Officer Osmun shared the images with the city Police units, and Sgt. Joshua Mangas identified the suspect, who was driving the same car and had the same tattoo. Officers contacted him in a Walmart parking lot, where he waived his Miranda Rights and admitted to removing the cameras to conceal an affair with a woman with whom he would meet on Ved Street for sexual encounters.

The suspect claimed he did not steal the cameras but left them behind a house, which the developer later confirmed. The developer requested that the man and the woman be banned from Ved Street.

Names are withheld due to the two not being officially charged.
