CROSSVILLE MAN TASERED AFTER ALTERCATION WITH POLICE AND MEDICS

A Crossville man is facing charges following a physical altercation with an emergency medical worker yesterday. The arrest report states 25-year-old Bryan Keith Beaty assaulted a medic as he was being removed from an ambulance at Cumberland Medical Center. Beaty also allegedly tried twice to strike a police officer. Authorities initially responded to a burglary call on Hillcrest Drive. The homeowner cornered Beaty in a laundry room. Beaty fled the home and went toward Industrial Boulevard. Police caught up to Beaty and ordered him to put his hands up but he reportedly refused. One officers tasered Beaty and placed him into custody. He was charged with aggravated burglary, assault, theft under $1,000, and resisting arrest.
