CROSSVILLE MAN WAKES UP TO FIND $452 UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE

On May 8, 2025, Deputy Ronald Fields responded to a fraud report. The victim, a 76-year-old Crossville resident, discovered a $452.84 unauthorized charge from an ACH collection agency on his bank account, dated May 7, 2025.

He noticed the charge at 4 a.m. on May 8 and contacted First National Bank of Crossville by 8 a.m. to stop the payment. He attempted to contact the collection agency but was unsuccessful. The incident, classified as wire fraud, occurred in Cumberland County, TN.

No suspect information is available, and the case remains under investigation.
