CROSSVILLE MAN’S STOLEN IDENTITY USED TO TAKE OUT $2,500 LOAN ONLINE
On June 2, 2026, Patrol Officer Matt Charlock of the Crossville Police Department followed up with a local man by phone after he visited the department to report a potential fraud and identity theft incident. After being advised on the required documentation, the victim emailed the necessary information to Officer Charlock on June 6, 2026.
According to the report, the victim discovered that his personal information had been used online on May 15, 2026, to secure a fraudulent loan for approximately $2,500.00 through Credit Ninja. He became aware of the theft after receiving a confirmation email at approximately 8:57 AM while at his residence.
Although he contacted Credit Ninja on May 18, 2026, he was unable to obtain details regarding the physical location where the loan was processed.
