Airman Pearson Seals, a native of Crossville, Tennessee, and a 2020 graduate of Cumberland County High School, is continuing a proud family tradition of military service as a naval aircrewman (mechanical) with the “Titans” of Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Squadron (VRM) 30.

Inspired by his father, who served as a P-3 aircrewman, and his great-uncle, a World War II veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor, Seals joined the Navy four years ago. Today, he plays a key role supporting operations for the CMV-22B Osprey, a high-tech vertical takeoff and landing tilt-rotor aircraft designed to replace the legacy C-2A Greyhound with extended range, faster cargo delivery, and enhanced communication systems.

Before taking on his current aircrew responsibilities, Seals earned early distinction at sea as an undesignated seaman.

“I am most proud of becoming a master helmsman,” Seals said. “It requires multiple evolutions of pulling in and out of ports and driving the ship alongside another vessel within 100 yards for hours at a time. It is a pretty stressful job, but after qualifying, I was able to pass on my experience and teach other sailors.”

Seals attributes his strong work ethic and communication skills to his upbringing in Crossville. He also credited his success to the steady support of his family and military leaders, offering special thanks to his wife, his parents, his best friend Dakota, Chaplain Lt. Lee, and his previous chain of command, including Petty Officer 2nd Class Quinonez.

His service aligns with a milestone year for the sea service as the U.S. Navy marks 250 years of defending freedom, securing global maritime commerce, and protecting vital undersea communications infrastructure worldwide.

“Serving in the Navy allows me to help and protect the American people, my friends, and family at the highest level possible,” Seals said.
