CROSSVILLE PD ARREST DRUNK MAN WITH GUNS

On November 1st, Patrol Officer Osmun responded to the area of Cook Road and Short Road in reference to Timothy Crass who left a residence on Cook Road in a GMC Sierra en route to an address across the street.

Officer Osmun headed to the area immediately and saw the White Sierra parked in the driveway of a residence on Short Road. Crass was still in the driver’s seat while Officer Osmun was standing on the passenger side of the vehicle.

The officer observed an AR-style weapon lying on top of the center console within immediate reach and asked Crass to step out of the truck.

Officer Freeman secured all weapons found within the vehicle which included a Palmetto State Arms 9.50 Beowulf; a Glock 32 Gen 4 .357, fully loaded with one bullet in the chamber; an acro precision AR-15; and a maximum defense industries 9 mm. All guns were fully loaded to include one in the chamber.

Well speaking with Crass, Officer Osmun noticed the smell of alcohol and asked Crass if he had been drinking. Chris responded that he had drunk earlier that day and consented to sobriety testing.

However, the sobriety tests were never fully completed. Crass is reported as not listening to directions, interrupting the officers, and being unable to complete any of the tests.

At one point during one of the tests crass got in a fighting stance and started shadowboxing the air down the line.

Crass was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Cumberland County jail for booking. At some point during the evening, Crossville Fire responded to the jail for a blood draw as Crass fought corrections officers and had to be sprayed with oleoresin capsicum.

Crass was charged with driving under the influence and also cited for possession of a handgun while intoxicated.
