CROSSVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVES PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR SUBDIVISION EAST OF SMHS

The Crossville Regional Planning Commission granted preliminary plat approval Thursday for the “Beehive subdivision”, a planned 124-lot single-family residential development on about 30.26 acres east of Stone Memorial High School. Located north of Cook Road at its intersection with Beehive Lane in Cumberland County’s First Civil District, the project shifted its main entrance to Beehive Lane after dropping a proposed access off Cook Road due to proximity concerns. Developers will make improvements to the sharp curve at the Beehive Lane entrance to meet city standards.

The subdivision, still in the early development phase and subject to potential modifications before final plat approval, features lots generally ranging from 0.14 to 0.19 acres, new internal roads with 50-foot rights-of-way, underground utilities (including 6-inch water mains and 4-inch sanitary sewer force mains), fire hydrants, detention ponds, and private drainage easements.
